Hey dudes! It has been a long time since I stopped by my ye ol’ bloggeroo but I though I would finally touch base on somethings I have been working on.
I recently had the opportunity to work on a logo for a cousin of one of my really good friends for her business she has recently started. It was a really cool experience, which definitely taught me a few things!
When I begun, I found a little bit of a challenge making sketches since the logo need to be upbeat, whimsical, fun and a little bit silly. The client created these unique, one-of-a-kind figurines and the logo had to really represent that.
Raegan picked out a sketch right away which allowed us to continue the process pretty quickly. The logo ended up mostly the same as the original sketch. At first, we played with some flourishes and details and then went to some color options before settling on the final. What we ended up with was playful lettering on in front of mounds of color which representS the clay Raegan uses to create her unique figures.

A glow in the dark silk screen created by Robot Soda for Autumn Society’s THE ICONOCLASTIC DEAD show in Mexico City. Prints are currently on sale on Etsy.
This is a poster I designed to help get recipes for a cookbook my friend and I are creating for a local community farm collective. Our idea is to get everyone from the community to participate so we have a wide range of recipes showing off our diverse population and their heritage.

This wonderful piece was contributed by super talent and ruggedly handsome Robot Soda (I may be a bit biased because he is my +1) for a show called ‘The End of Time’. If you are interested in more of his work you should check out his Flickr as he seems to update that more frequently.
Alright, I know I haven’t been updating as frequently as I promised - but I assure you there is a good reason. For now, I want to share these wonderful these awesome pieces done by the German artist, EVOL. These particular pieces are done on cardboard where he paints wonderful urban environments and amazing cityscapes. Please enjoy.
In the last couple of weeks the Big Green Ball has become somewhat neglected, I apologize for this. In the next couple months I PROMISE - cross my heart - that there will be a whole slew of things coming way. For today I am going to leave some inspiration. I found these ‘reminders’ by the amazing Erin Hanson and I find them absolutely fabulous! I wish I thought of doing something like this, seriously. Enjoy!
My Birthday was on Friday, which led to an awesome weekend of birthday festivities. There was food, bowling and plenty of shopping… here are a couple highlights.
